NYC.. Day 1.

I’m going to break up our NYC trip, simply because I have a bazillion pictures. :)
We left C-town about 4 am, to get to the airport- which was nothing but Bama fans and one disgruntled looking Auburn fan- which I wouldn’t have blamed him, being as he was stuck in a sea of Crimson in the security line.
Got to NYC around lunch time. Just in time to check into the room- which was the Marriott Marquis- amazing hotel! Very centrally located.
We ate at the Carnegie deli- splitting a Reuben sandwich and STILL leave half of it behind.
John thought it would be a good idea to do any shopping and “girly things” before the guys arrived. So, we shopped. 5th Avenue.. H&M, Sephora, Forever 21.. you know, the usual suspects.

We literally stumbled upon Rockefeller Plaza and decided to take a picture.. Funny side story. The last time we went to NYC Brooke was with us and we asked a lady to take a group picture with all of our cameras.. I tried to hand her mine and she shook her head and said “No.” We laughed about that for the entire trip. Well, a girl asked if she could take a picture of the two of us in exchange for one with her and her friend. Awesome. Then, she praised how much she liked my camera..

Something you may or may not know about me is I am deathly afraid of birds.. pigeons are my worst enemy. I was minding my own business and some dumb pigeon was getting extremely close to my feet- he was going to peck them, I feel sure of it..
Cool Hubby who takes pictures instead of helping his wife in need…

I wanted to go to Grand Central Station too.. and you know what? There was no Gossip Girl OR Serena Van Der Woodsen.

We went back to the hotel and took a cat nap and then headed down to Little Italy for some Lombardi’s pizza. This was also Fashion Night Out in NYC and I thought it would be “fun” to go check it out. Another thing you may not know about me is large pushy crowds sent me into a panic attack. So, um, Yeah. We had to leave.

Made it back to Times Square.. I am looking a little worse for the wear. Pushy crowds and near fatal accidents over a pair of shoes will do that to a gal.
I will most likely sprinkle our trip throughout some other posts.. Just so you don’t get too tired of all the fun we had.
