New Years Eve
We seem to have started a tradition around here of going to Connors Steak House and friends on NYE and eating dinner. It was delicious.
I got a new dress for the occasion.. not really. More like, I bought a new dress and wanted to wear it.
John was against my buying the purple tights… but he doesn’t get a say in fashion. 
He was also against taking my picture a 100 times.. but you do that for the people you love.
Grey boots and purple tights.. in my head I think it looked better? The flatness of the boots brought down the dressy-ness of the dress.
I wore fancy hair and new make-up. Becca told me to put my lips on and sadly they were. I am realizing that the nude lip is not for me.

We spend NYE eating and then went back to my BIL and SIL’s house for some football and games– Awkward Family Photos. Best game ever!

LOVING that dress! AND the purple tights– what do men know, anyways?
Sounds like you had a lovely NYE/Day! Boyfriend and I made it our date night, after 10 days apart over the holidays while I was in Texas with my family. We went out to dinner, I drank a lot of wine and we toasted ALONE with good champagne at midnight. And then I rejoined Weight Watchers on New Years Day– happy new year, right? In retrospect, getting on a scale post-salt/wine feast was not the best approach, though I’m greatly looking forward to the results this Saturday morning

I need to learn to tell Tim that he doesn’t have a say in my fashion choices. He hates everything I wear, but I know that I have fairly good taste. He even told me on New Years that my sparkly dress looked “OK” because he hates sequins. It’s so funny. He wants me to dress like the pages of J.Crew catalogs. I tell him that I don’t always want to look ultra preppy. Oh well. He’s learning. And I think your dress and purple tights look very cute!
