About Me

I am a mother of two red headed princesses who keep me on my toes. I love to talk about them and what they say and do. They have given me an appreciation for life that I didn’t know I possess.

I am 26 years old and a year ago, decided to try to my run my very first 5K, which was to be the Midnight Run. The week of, I got awful shin splints and wasn’t able to run. I bit the bullet and signed up another first 5K in December of 2009, and it was love. On a whim, I signed up for my second race and first half marathon–The Disney Princess Half Marathon in March 2010. I finished in 3 hrs and 4 minutes. It was then and there, forever changed. I may be a bit on the lazy side when it comes to running and exercising in general, but I love the feeling that running gives me. I work for that runners high.
I am also a photographer. My photographic skills have grown leaps and bounds over the past year, which has only increased my thirst for knowledge.
I realized how much I have grown over the past year. I found a passion in running, I didn’t know I had, and an intense passion for photography, which I now realize was always there, but bubbling under the surface to get out.
We are also HUGE Alabama and SEC Football fans. We live for it. It is like our third child.
I am extremely narcissistic and sarcastic. I sometimes curse too much and am too opinionated. I am also extremely honest. About my parenting. About my relationships. About my life.

Welcome to my blog!

Girl, I’m so glad I found you! Fellow ‘bama blogger from Tuscaloosa (ROLL TIDE!!) and I have been checking out the Ambassadors on Fitfluential..not many Alabama girls represented. I hope to change that soon. You are hilarious and I think sarcasm is a true art form. You have mastered the snark beautifully. Looking forward to reading more!

I am so in awe of you. As you were preparing to run your first 1/2 marathon, I was relearning to stand and walk. Proud to say, at the tender age of 50, I am registered and have been training, for my first 1/2 maraton in Green Bay, Wisconsin this Spring. Heart & Soul

  • I think it’s amazing that you’ve gone from a 3 hour half marathon to a 2 hour half marathon!! I ran my first half marathon in 2:27, which seems “slow” for the blog world, but I have to remind myself that I did it, and I can only get faster!
