Triple Tangent Thursday
Hey y’all. It’s Thursday.. so that means almost the weekend!
Three things:
1. I’m getting my hair cut and colored today… I can’t decide if I want to keep it the same or change it up. Although, I have zero ideas on what to do if I change it. This is my hair normally.. yes I curl it like that most days. And I do it with a flat iron.. most people never believe me.
2. I am doing a Warrior Dash on Saturday.. with Philly. Do we remember that Philly doesn’t run? I am suspecting lots of yelling at each other.. me at him on the run, and him at me during the obstacles. Should prove to be interesting. I’m pretty pumped– I’ve always wanted him to run a race with me, and now I’ve got my chance. I guess if i want it to happen again, I should keep my nagging to a minimum during the race, huh? My biggest thing is figuring out what to wear… I’m going to get wet and muddy and don’t want my clothing to get too heavy. I found some yoga type shorts at TJ Maxx, and they are fitted, but then I fake ran in the mirror when I got home (don’t judge me!) and it wasn’t pretty in the bootay area, so they are a definite NO! Should I just throw on an old pair of tempos that are too big and call it a day? Y’all KNOW I freak out about not being properly dressed for an occasion. I’m also debating on sports bra only vs. tank. I don’t want to get scratched up, but I hate to ruin a shirt for no reason.
3. Someone please tell me where these skanks on Pinterest are finding all of these fabulous Essie polish colors?! I went to TWO stores looking for Power Clutch and Cocktail Bling and wasn’t able to find either. Is these a secret Essie nail polish store that I don’t know about?! Please let me in on the secret!!!
So, I’m obviously going to need some help to make it through 31 days of blogging, so let me know what you want to hear more (or less!) about. A Q&A post? A Hubs Q & A post? Tell me! Now is the time to ask!
7 years…
it’s been since we tied the knot.
This fall will be 10 years of us together. That seems like such a long time, but it passed in a blink of an eye.
It seems like just yesterday you would call and wake me up at 11:00 am so I would get up and go eat lunch and go to class.
Here’s our very first picture.. Such babies!!
Here’s the picture I took moments after we got engaged…
One of my favorite pictures of us.. from our rehearsal dinner.
Our wedding reception.. you know our band rocked!
It’s crazy to think the ride we have been on so far…
to the birth of another daughter..
to a National Title game and a trip to Pasadena.. (And weird hair for both of us!)
to more football games… (I’m sensing a trend, here!)
to Viva Las Vegas… among other fantastic trips.
and a trip to New Orleans this January…
You’ve helped me grow into the person that I am proud to have become. You’ve given me two fantastic red heads, that I wouldn’t trade the world for.
We’ve shared thousands of laughs, highs and lows, good times and bad.
You take my mood swings and my stubbornness for what it is.
You accept me– faults and all, and I thank you for that.
There’s no one else I’d rather high five at a football game, or give a sweaty hug to after I cross a finish line, or be absolutely lazy with on a Saturday morning.
I’m glad you attempted to talk me out of going to that Frat house the first time we ever talked on the phone.
Just so you know, I’d totally wait at the Arby’s on University for 45 minutes all over again.
Love you, dear.

I’ll just Have It My Way…
It was brought to John’s attention a couple of weeks ago that you cannot order a McChicken with cheese from McDonald’s. So, John being John, cut in line at McDonald’s to ask the girl at the register. She informed him that mostly definitely, you could not order a McChicken with cheese.
John wanted to speak to the manager. The manager tells him that there are certain sandwiches that are “as is” and they will not add anything to them. Not cheese. Not lettuce. Not tomato. John informs him that was the stupidest thing he had ever heard of( he is really a passive person and would never insult anyone like that. NOT.) The long of the short is, the manager tells him that you could order a McChicken and then order a cheese burger and take the cheese off of the cheese burger and put it on the McChicken, if you wanted to. John tells him to stuff it.
He will just go to Burger King, where he can have it his way.
Disney World 2009
*WARNING- Long post with TONS of pictures!!*
We had a BLAST at Disney, but no vacation is complete without a couple of meltdowns, but all in all, it was a great time had by all. Addy did great on both flights and we had such a blast with John’s family. To say Addy loved Frances and Grace was an understatement. Addy wasn’t too keen on meeting the characters at Chef Mickey. She warmed up to them later on. We met all the Princesses and she was in HEAVEN. When she first met Sleeping Beauty she started singing I Know You, I walked with you once upon a dream… and then looked at Aurora and said, “You sing that song!” She knows and loves her some Disney songs. We rode several rides, but she didn’t like the indoor ones because she associated them with Snow White’s Scary Adventures. She also asked Ariel where her dinglehopper was. Oh my… We watch entirely too many Princess movies. Anyway, I am looking forward to going back in November. John and I rode the new Aerosmith ride at Hollywood Studios individually and It. Was. Awesome.
It’s A Small World… she didn’t like it!
