My Tuesday was pretty uneventful.. Addy has Vacation Bible School this week, so she is gone in the mornings. I decided to head to Birmingham to take some stuff back to Express- like my Vegas outfit. All that stress and I didn’t even wear the darn thing. Oh well.

I picked some things up for myself…

Now, maybe you’re saying, “Rach, why would you buy this right before Father’s Day??” And that’s when I would tell you this long story. This IS Philly’s Fathers Day present. As seeing as it was a surprise, I was trying to hide me going and getting it. I called the Apple Store on Monday and they said they had the 16GB, white, wifi ipads in, but it didn’t guarantee that they would still be there on Tuesday. I took the chance and waited until Tuesday. Jana met me over there, and I went in and asked for my iPad, only to be told that they didn’t have them in anymore. They had it in black or they had a 32 GB in white. It was $100 more. I didn’t mind spending the extra $$, but wasn’t sure if Philly needed the 32. After some fretting and texts, I decided to make the judgement call and ruin the surprise for John (I had been planning and saving for this for MONTHS.) (P.S. let’s talk about how John jerked his iPad out of my hands Monday night. B/c I picked it up to look up something when he got up…uh yeah. He almost didn’t get this iPad.)

Anyway, he told me that the 32 was actually what he needed- which he told me before he wanted the 16. So, I ended up getting him what he needed. And Now he gets to play with it. And I ruined the surprise for nothing.

And now I get this:

Guilt free book reading… maybe I’ll start jerking the new iPad out of his hands just for fun!

Side story.

Claire went with me to Birmingham and when we got to Bed Bath and Beyond, she told me she needed to go potty. Which was cool. We go in, I pull her undies down and she’s has an accident. Skid marks. So, I have to take her undies off of her and I didn’t want to put those panties in the trash can. It was dry, so I stuck the panties IN. MY. PURSE. and put her shorts back on her and luckily, I had brought some extra undies and clothes in the car, so I had to wait until I got outside to put undies on her. Lesson learned- Keep clean undies in your purse for your children.

Potty Training and a VIdeo

Today we start the potty training of Claire. Please Lord, let her be an intelligent child and potty train easier than Addison.

I was reminded last night that I hadn’t picked a Freschetta winner last night, so here it is!!! Congrats, Robbie! If you don’t share your pizza with your preggers wife, I might have to cut you. I will get your info to the peeps of Freschetta.

P.S.- I am pretty much a terrible blogging friend, I am trying to edit a wedding, potty train my child and we leave for Vegas in a couple of weeks… I promise to be better soon! I will be back to commenting on everyone’s blogs before you know it!

Weekend Recap

We did a bunch of nothing.

Just kidding! We really didn’t do much, I took some pictures of Addison on Saturday and Uncle Jay came up and we went to lunch with everyone minus Poppy and Tracie. John and I braved Walmart on Saturday afternoon, because, we were out of everything. Then, later, we went out on a limb, and went to dinner with his family. But this time, Poppy and Tracie joined us. Addison, who refused to order a sweet tea, informed me that she needed to go tee-tee. This child is so backwards. She NEVER will tell me she has to go tee-tee at home, but in EVERY restaurant we go to, she always has to go. She then proclaimed to the entire restaurant that she went tee-tee in the potty. But was too shy to order her drink. How weird? She wanted to spend the night with MeMac and Poppy on Saturday, so John, Claire, and I got to sleep in until 7:30. We rounded off the morning with breakfast at the All Steak. We ended up going to Huntsville to help MeMac and Joseph get some new computers. I was super jealous and the new computer bug hit me. So, now I want a new computer. Even though, I certainly don’t NEED one.

Addison didn’t have ANY accidents on Sunday and even hit John on the head to wake him up to tell him that she needed to go poo-poo in the potty which she NEVER does. Afterwards, she proclaimed, ” I took a crap! No… I took a dump.” Grrreeaatt. Please tell your Christian Pre-School teachers THAT. It would make me look even better especially after dropping you off in my pajamas this morning.
Anyway, here is some pictures of the girls. I feel like I have been neglecting you.

You Never Know What You’ll Find…

We have been trying to introduce potty training to Addison. She seems somewhat interested so we got her a pink potty and she seemed pretty excited about it for a couple of days. She wants to talk about it, but not really use it, even though she is really proud of herself when she does use it. Since I have been cleaning the house like a mad woman these days with all the nesting, I was flying through the girls’ bathroom and I looked down and was a little shocked. At first, I thought John must have done that, but when he got home, he swore he didn’t do it.

This is her new Minnie Mouse that she got for seeing Santa Clause at my mom’s church Christmas party!! Apparently, Minnie is doing great with her potty training!!
